The opportunity
We are seeking a Front End Developer to join the engineering team developing our unique web application, Alchemite™ Analytics, for machine learning on real-world, sparse and noisy data problems. This consists of a React application written in TypeScript with TailwindCSS for utility-first styling and react-query as the data-synchronization system, as well as docker and Nginx to containerize the frontend application. It interfaces with our backend, Alchemite™ Engine, to train and use machine learning models and upload, retrieve and analyse datasets via a RESTful API defined with an OpenAPI specification.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will work as part of our engineering team to develop and improve our existing Alchemite™ Analytics web application turning new features into production-ready code. On a day-to-day basis, you will be modifying, testing, and implementing UI components with complex state and design requirements.

Essential Requirements
- 1+ years of experience developing and shipping React projects in a professional setting
- Excellent TypeScript/JavaScript and ES6 programming skills
- Experience developing with unit Javascript testing libraries such as Jest
- Knowledge of Git, node and npm/yarn.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Desirable Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor 2:1 degree in computer science or a related field such as engineering, science, or mathematics
- Experience using GraphQL
- Experience with E2E or integration testing libraries like Puppeteer and/or Cypress.
- Experience using CI tools to test and deploy applications, ideally CircleCI
- Experience working with others in an agile environment to deliver value early and continuously
