Intellegens awarded funding by Innovate UK to model COVID-19 data and improve pandemic management
Intellegens has received funding from Innovate UK to model COVID-19 data and improve the management of future coronavirus outbreaks and other infectious diseases. The tool, which will be based on Intellegens’ unique deep-learning algorithm Alchemite™ will help understand how policy changes might impact outcomes, helping inform decision-making.
Alchemite™ has new features
A new feature has recently been added to the Alchemite™ Analytics platform: “Importance”. The importance feature:
- Displays how important each property is for predicting every other property.
- Validates the model against expert opinion as well as provide new insights into the relationships between properties that may not be evident otherwise.
News in short
Over the moon (!) to announce that Intellegens will be working with NASA on a trial of our Alchemite™ software.
At Intellegens we highly value out customers’ data, so we are proud to reveal that we have received a Certificate of Assurance from the Cyber Essentials Scheme.
Intellegens congratulates the OPTIMADE consortium on the release of version 1.0.0 of their API. Intellegens co-founder, Gareth Conduit, sits on the OPTIMADE organising committee. OPTIMADE is a consortium with the objective to provide access to electronic structure databases to aid in new material design via high-throughput computation.
Publications
This study applies the Alchemite™ algorithm to heterogeneous drug discovery data to overcome typical practical issues such as sparse, noisy and heterogeneous data in both small and large datasets. Results from this publication show that, on average, Alchemite™ adds 0.22 to the accuracy (R-squared) of the next leading algorithm.
This paper presents two computational techniques that enhance current NEMD (non-equilibrium molecular dynamics) methods to study liquid density and kinematic viscosity of alkanes. These approaches offer significant improvements over current semi-analytical, molecular dynamics and modern statistical methods, which have not been able to reliably model the viscosity of all alkanes.
Intellegens welcomes two additions to its team!
Elena is the new Product Marketing Manager. Her job is to ensure Intellegens’ products get the attention they deserve! Elena will be looking after the website, LinkedIn and Twitter as well as following up on client leads.
Yang is joining Intellegens summer intern program to help test and validate key elements of the software. Yang has completed a PhD in Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge.
