Machine learning for materials and components in aerospace
Intellegens will be represented on a discussion panel at the Space-Com event in Farnborough in June.
The focus of the discussion session is miniaturisation for space applications. New materials and novel component designs are an important component in the push for miniaturisation and machine learning technologies can play an useful role in accelerating innovation in these areas – for example, by focusing experimental programmes on the routes that are most likely to succeed.
See, for example, this case study from NASA in which the Alchemite™ machine learning method was validated in studies of shape memory alloys and heat exchangers.
At Space-Com, Dr Bogdan Nenchev from Intellegens will bring the machine learning perspective to the discussion of materials and engineering innovation.
Session title: MINIATURISATION: PROSPECTS AND LIMITATIONS
Session date and timing: Thursday, 8 June, 11:40
Session location: Small Sats Theatre
This session is sponsored by Goodfellow.
