A food formulation case study with Yili
If you missed last week’s webinar with leading global food producer, Yili, you can now watch the recording. In a case study that feels appropriate for the approaching holiday season, Yili Innovation Manager Matthias Eisner discusses the use of Alchemite™ machine learning to improve the formulation of whipping cream.
Intellegens teams up with the Henry Royce Institute
Intellegens has won funding from the Henry Royce Institute (the UK national institute for advanced materials and research innovation) to further advance the use of machine learning approaches in the design and development of new materials. The new project will enable materials R&D teams to combine Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods with proven physics-based models to accelerate their research.
Intellegens highly commended at IfM formulations event
Intellegens CEO Ben Pellegrini was pleased to receive the ‘Highly Commended’ award following his recent presentation to the University of Cambridge Institute for Manufacturing Open Forum on innovation in food, drink, and fast moving consumer goods. The award recognises the potential of Alchemite™ machine learning to improve the vital formulations development process in these industries.
Focus Group shares new case studies and examples
The fourth Alchemite™ Focus Group meeting shared experience of using the machine learning software to accelerate innovation projects and Intellegens provided updates on recent and upcoming developments. Thanks to our two user case study presenters. The Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) described work on predicting biopharmaceutical process parameters based on genetic sequences. Johnson Matthey spoke about using machine learning to speed up and improve the development of catalysts, with applications to clean air and life science technologies.
Blog: Three challenges for 2023; Seven ways to respond
On this month’s blog, as the year turns, we think some big thoughts about three key challenges for the industries that we serve (and the world) and the practical role machine learning could play in meeting these challenges.
Process Industry Informer features machine learning
These big challenges are discussed in a little more detail in a feature article in this month’s Process Industry Informer. Find out how machine learning is helping to tackle the energy, sustainability, and innovation challenges facing the chemical process industries.
Meet us at the SCI Formulation Forum
We’ll be supporting next month’s Formulation Forum (24-25 Jan, London) organised by SCI. Dr Tom Whitehead will present on ‘Sustainable formulation development using machine learning‘ and our team will be available at our exhibition stand.
