Webinar - Machine learning for additive manufacturing
Additive Manufacturing is a transformational technology – delivering lighter, stronger parts, and novel product capabilities. But it is a major challenge to ensure repeatable AM processes and quality parts with minimal defects. In this webinar, we’ll explore how machine learning is being applied to tackle this problem. Gabe Guss of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory will present work on applying the Alchemite™ machine learning method to predict and optimise print parameters for additively-manufactured parts. The Intellegens team will discuss how such work has been proven to reduce experimental workloads while supporting better AM project outcomes.
Connect with us at TMS, AMUG, and ACS
You can connect with us at a series of conferences in the US during March.
We’ll be exhibiting at the Additive Manufacturing Users Group Expo (AMUGExpo) in Chicago from March 19-20, discussing data-driven AM.
Our chief scientific officer, Gareth Conduit, is presenting on machine learning for metallurgy at the TMS Annual Meeting in San Diego on March 22.
Our head of machine learning, Tom Whitehead is presenting at the American Chemical Society (ACS Spring Meeting) in Indianapolis and we’ll also be exhibiting our solutions for chemistry, formulations, and academic research.
New dashboard lights up Alchemite™ user experience
A big focus for our Alchemite™ software development team is on enhancing user experience, based on feedback from users. The new Model Dashboard offers a convenient overview of key information at a glance. Users can easily understand how a model is performing, what insights it has uncovered from their data, and what their experimental progress is. Sharing models and adding notes is also possible, all from a single location.
Coming soon - Alchemite™ Academic Programme
At the upcoming ACS Spring Meeting, we’ll be announcing a new programme to support researchers who would like to apply the Alchemite™ machine learning software in academic research. Connect with us at ACS, or look out for more information on our social media feeds, website, and in this newsletter next month.
Blog: Getting our teeth into additive manufacturing
Additive manufacturing is a big focus for us this month, with an upcoming webinar on the topic and our attendance at the AMUGExpo. On the blog, we discuss how machine learning can help to overcome some of the barriers to more widespread adoption of AM.
Recorded webinar - Sustainable formulation development
These big challenges are discussed in a little more detail in a feature article in this month’s Process Industry Informer. Find out how machine learning is helping to tackle the energy, sustainability, and innovation challenges facing the chemical process industries.
New HQ up and running!
Our new headquarters office at Chesterton Mill in Cambridge is already looking lived-in. Explanded premises will support our growth, enabling us to support our customers more effectively and drive further development of our machine learning solutions. We’re looking forward to the official opening party in March!
