New Alchemite™ Academic Programme
At this week’s American Chemical Society meeting, Intellegens announced a new programme to provide cost-effective, easy-to-use access to Alchemite™ machine learning for university researchers in areas including chemistry, materials, and life sciences. The project will enable these researchers to gain valuable insights into their data while freeing up research time that would otherwise be spent on method development or coding.
Upcoming webinar - case studies with Johnson Matthey
Designing and developing new and improved products at pace is challenging when responding to rising costs, supply chain and regulatory constraints and the need to meet sustainability targets. In this webinar, our guest speaker Claire Hatfield from Johnson Matthey, will present case studies of the use of machine learning in designing catalyst formulations for clean air and life science applications. Benefits include increased process yields and reductions in experimental time and cost. Intellegens will present further case studies from the chemicals and materials sectors, and give a live demonstration of the Alchemite™ machine learning software.
New software feature - nested constraints
Standard tools for experimental design, such as traditional design of experiments software, often make it difficult to allow for subtle yet important constraints on the experiment. Examples are restricting the number of ingredients from a particular subclass, or making sure that a given type of ingredient constitutes no more than a specified percentage of a formulation. New Alchemite™ functionality builds on existing strengths in designing experiments to enable constraints-within-constraints, as well as specifying acceptable ranges for totals and numbers of components. Providing this detailed control is very important in practice, increasing the user’s chance of achieving targets whilst guaranteeing results that make sense in the laboratory.

Intellegens opens new headquarters
On March 9, Intellegens board member Graham Snudden, alongside CEO Ben Pellegrini, cut the ribbon to officially open the new Intellegens HQ at Chesterton Mill in Cambridge. We were delighted to welcome around sixty staff, partners, customers, and supporters to the celebration of our new home.
