AI-powered ELN and LIMS for the smart lab
Today’s smart laboratories depend heavily on informatics systems such as ELNs and LIMS to capture, manage, and exploit lab data and associated analysis. But, hidden in this data, is a wealth of information that could be used to guide more efficient experiments and drive innovation. Machine learning methods can unlock this value, as Intellegens recently demonstrated with our partner, Revvity Signals. Watch the video to see how the Alchemite™ machine learning software can be used alongside Signals Notebook, the premier SaaS ELN used by 1 million scientists, to optimize experimental design. Intellegens has implemented similar integrations with a broad range of laboratory technologies – contact us to discuss your key integration requirements.
Recorded webinar – cutting-edge concrete
If you missed our recent webinar with Chief Science Officer, Dr Gareth Conduit, catch up on-line to hear about some fascinating cutting-edge research that is helping to develop a very down-to-earth material: concrete. Gareth described research work with collaborators at the University of Cambridge that extracted information from what appeared to be noise in the experimental data in order to propose greener, better-performing concrete formulations that were then experimentally validated.
Faster, better answers on cost
A new feature in the Alchemite™ Suite machine learning software makes it faster and easier to include cost analysis when optimizing formulations, materials, and other products and processes. With cost factors always front-of-mind in sectors such as chemicals, materials, and FMCG, Alchemite™ provides guidance that reduces the number of experiments needed to uncover novel product solutions, saving dollars without sacrificing performance. Costs are lowered in R&D (through shorter experimental cycles), in production (by reduced resource requirements), and in the use-phase (through more efficient end-products).
Drug discovery review features Alchemite™
The Alchemite™ machine learning method has been featured in a new review of massively-multitask regression models (MMRMs) for use in drug discovery. The value of such methods lies in the fact that they can be trained on large compound and assays datasets to predict bioactivity. The paper finds MMRM methods particularly suited to hit-finding, off-target, promiscuity, MoA, polypharmacology or drug-repurposing.
A question of trust: AI agents for science
On this month’s blog, we discuss one of the biggest ways that science impacts everyday life: by improving the products that fill our homes. At Intellegens, we’ve seen a surge in interest in applying machine learning to formulation, re-formulation, and packaging problems in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). How are FMCG scientists applying the technology, and why?
Intellegens nominated for software award
We’re delighted to have been nominated in the ‘Software Company of the Year’ category for the Cambridge Independent Science & Technology awards. It’s great to be recognized among such a strong peer group of scientific software organizations in the Cambridge area, a globally-significant hub for scientific businesses. The nomination acknowledges the impact of Intellegens in applying machine learning to critical R&D challenges across sectors such chemicals, materials, life sciences, and FMCG. We’re looking forward to the award event in May.
We’re hiring! – Customer Success Specialist
We’re investing further in the team that supports our customers to implement and apply machine learning successfully. If you’re an early-career professional with an interest in working with an innovative, deep-tech SaaS company, our new Customer Success Specialist role could be the one for you. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, travelling, solving problems, and learning about cutting-edge technology.
