Voestalpine shares AM case studies
At November’s webinar, Liang Wu from Voestalpine shared a great series of case studies of the use of Alchemite™ machine learning to accelerate Additive Manufacturing innovation. These included: designing alloys by understanding key relationships in the data; reducing costs by almost 40% when optimising process parameters; supporting quality assurance by calculating key performance indicators from large amounts of monitoring data; and even enabling customer service in discussion of downstream processes.
Intellegens celebrates ISO 27001 status
At Intellegens, we’re celebrating the award of ISO 27001 certification for our information security systems and practices. ISO 27001 is the international standard for information security and achieving it requires a rigorous audit process, providing crucial assurance to customers and partners as we work together on projects that apply and develop vital intellectual property.
Intellegens and MPI power steel innovation
The UK’s Materials Processing Institute (MPI) has announced a long-term collaboration with Intellegens to reduce carbon emissions from the next generation of Electric Arc Furnaces (EAFs). Leveraging machine learning, MPI will focus on optimising the design of EAFs, enhancing scrap steel recycling, as well as advancing the development of essential materials produced by the foundation industries, including concrete and plastic.
New feature: Model revisions with Alchemite™
Alchemite™ enables a fast, iterative approach to exploring R&D challenges with machine learning. New model revision features make it even quicker and easier to refine machine learning models and gain insight from new data.
Nobel musings
It’s been a momentous few weeks for the community involved in applied machine learning, with the field being recognised by not one, but two Nobel Prizes. With ML firmly established as a fundamental computational technology – what next for its application?
Battery webinar
CPI is presenting a webinar on 10 December that will discuss digital technologies that assist battery research. Joel Strickland from Intellegens will participate, reviewing applications of machine learning across a wide range of materials-related processes in the battery space. The event will also introduce the UK’s new Advanced Materials Battery Industrialisation Centre (AMBIC).
A new Alchemite™ experience!
We’re very excited to as we close out 2024 at Intellegens to be putting the final touches to a whole new experience for our Alchemite™ software, which we will be launching early in 2025. We can’t wait to share the details with you!
