Project MEDAL, in collaboration with the AMRC, Boeing, Constellium, and GE Additive has demonstrated the effectiveness of Alchemite™ machine learning in accelerating process parameter optimisation for a new laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) additive manufacturing process. Such a capability will enable AM project teams to bring new processes to market faster by significantly reducing the amount of experiment involved.

Machine learning can make products and processes more efficient, reducing waste, energy usage, and resource consumption. Join us to find out how, with insights from the recent ‘Build UK India’ project focused on minimising wastage in an industrial manufacturing process for aerospace.

Dr Tom Whitehead, Head of Machine Learning at Intellegens, will speak at the SCI event ‘AI/ML in formulation design – Opportunities and Challenges’. Tom will be sharing experiences of applying Intellegens’ unique ML technology to optimise formulations, with example projects including work on inks, drugs, speciality chemicals, foodstuffs, and polymers.

In this month’s blog, we discuss how machine learning can help businesses to meet regulatory challenges relating to the environment and health. The key is resilience and speed of response in product development when there is a need to reformulate. Machine learning can extract insights from your existing formulations data that can help you to identify solutions and reduce the number of experimental cycles.

Watch our latest demo video to see how the new output tolerance feature in Alchemite™ Analytics enables users to explore the impact on a system’s outputs of variations in its inputs. For example, you may not be able to exactly specify the percentage of an ingredient present in a formulation or material, and may want to understand how much cost and effort you should put into controlling this range.

We’re pleased to announce the expansion of our operations to include a US-based sales and service team. Intellegens already has an active and growing customer base of US-based organisations in sectors including chemicals, materials, aerospace, battery technology, and energy. The first Intellegens team members in the US will enable us to work more efficiently with these customers, and to grow more rapidly the number of organisations benefitting from the Alchemite™ technology.
