New white paper - Polymer R&D
Polymer R&D teams must understand complex, high-dimensional, non-linear relationships in polymer formulations in a context where key property data is often incomplete. The result is high reliance on costly experimentation. Machine learning can help by learning from experimental and process data to create models that capture and then use these relationships. This white paper reviews some of the challenges and how they are overcome, discussing an application example of polymer blending.
Next webinar with case study from Yili
Find out how formulation teams are applying machine learning to accelerate innovation for formulated products, including foods and beverages. This webinar includes a case study presentation from leading global food producer, Yili. Machine learning can reduce the amount of experimentation required to achieve objectives, saving time and resources. It can provide insights that enable a deeper understanding of formulations and can identify new recipes and processing paths that would not otherwise have been found.
Interview: Dr Tom Whitehead on applying machine learning
Watch Dr Tom Whitehead, head of machine learning at Intellegens, on the work of the Intellegens Science Team. Tom explains how Intellegens typically works with industrial R&D organisations and discusses some trends, challenges, and successes in recent projects.
New feature - enhancing teamwork with notes and tags
More new developments are rolling-out to Alchemite™ users. They can now create, view, and edit notes and tags for optimisations, improvements, and other result. Notes support communication between team members on a project, so that everyone has all of the relevant information about particular results in one place. Tags allow these results to be searched quickly and easily so that users spend less time sorting through data.
Blog: Top ten roadblocks to machine learning software
On this month’s blog we examine some of the reasons why organisations avoid using machine learning software and discuss why these roadblocks should be circumnavigated, and how to do this.
Recorded webinar - construction and structural materials
If you missed last week’s webinar, you can now watch the recording. We drew on experience of real-world projects to demonstrate how Alchemite™ can be applied to applications including design of of new concrete formulations and development of steels and other alloys for structural applications.
Next Alchemite™ Focus Group
The next Alchemite™ Focus Group will be held in early December. This event is exclusively for Alchemite™ user organisations or those planning a project that will use Alchemite™. It provides an opportunity to learn from the experiences of other users, to find out what is new and coming soon in the Alchemite™ software, and to provide input to Intellegens development plans. The session will include user case study presentations from the Centre for Process Innovation and Johnson Matthey.
