Intellegens Chief Science Officer, Dr Gareth Conduit, is an organiser of the OPTIMADE project, which aims to promote collaboration and accelerate R&D in materials design by making it easier to access key sources of materials and crystallographic data.
The concept behind OPTIMADE was described in a paper in Nature Scientific Data in 2021.

A regular series of workshops bring together the community working on Open Database Integration for Materials Design. Intellegens CSO Gareth Conduit is on the organising committee for these events.
