Webinar: Formulation case study with Domino
In this webinar, we’ll see how machine learning-led Design of Experiments (DOE) guides experimental programs in just a few button-clicks. This reduces the number of experiments by 50-80%, cutting the time and cost required to achieve R&D objectives. You will find out how to quickly prepare data, generate targeted experiments using an adaptive design of experiments approach, and apply graphical analysis tools to extract valuable additional insights from the data.
AI enables high-speed digital manufacturing
Intellegens is the AI partner in a new digital manufacturing project led by Photocentric, supported by the recently announced £3.7m investment in smart factory projects from Innovate UK, the UK Government’s investment research arm. The project, named ‘IntelliJeni’, will apply AI to the development of parts made in the world’s first autonomous manufacturing process using arrays of LCD-driven 3D printers.
Surface appearance: article discusses ML
Surface Coatings International magazine has published an extended review article by Intellegens Science Team lead Tom Whitehead discussing the application of machine learning to coatings, inks, and adhesives. The Jan/Feb 2024 edition of the magazine, published by The Oil & Colour Chemists Association reviews the use of machine learning to optimise formulations and design effective experiments.
Property vs Property plots now really pop!
The Alchemite™ software Property vs Property plots allow you to view relationships between any given columns in your dataset. The plots display a column on each axis and now an additional column can be displayed in colour, enabling three dimensional analysis. Get insights into your data by discovering relationships that you didn’t know existed. Easily identify outliers in the data. Explore data by zooming in on plots with large numbers of data points.
AI for sustainable remanufacturing
A new international collaborative project, RESTORE, aims to develop sustainable-by-design remanufacturing processes and materials alongside supporting tools for the digitalisation of the remanufacturing ecosystem and value chain. The technical focus of the project will be on advancing promising state-of-the-art cladding technologies, including laser direct energy deposition (DED), plasma transfer arc (PTA), and hybrids of these approaches. Intellegens will provide machine learning technology and expertise that helps to optimise material and process parameters.
Blog – Large Language Models for materials
On the Intellegens blog, Joel Strickand from our Science Team discusses Large Language Models (LLMs) and their application in materials science. At Intellegens, our current Machine Learning technology is based on a different type of AI – one that has already proven itself in the materials research arena. But we’re tracking this emerging technology with interest.
Recorded webinar – smart manufacturing
If you missed this week’s webinar, with guest speakers Claire MacLeod of CPI and pharma industry expert Mike Webb, you can now watch the recording. Through a case study of an oligonucleotides project, the session explored how machine learning (ML) can extract added value from manufacturing process data to improve productivity in the development of new therapeutics.
