Our Team

Intellegens was co-founded by Ben Pellegrini in 2017. Prior to this Ben worked with a broad range of software and technology organisations, specialising in cloud based, big data systems from design to implementation. He is now leading Intellegens’ business strategy, driving product development and establishing commercial partnerships and collaborations.

Intellegens co-founder, Gareth has a track record of applying machine learning to solve real-world problems, with research contracts held with companies spanning materials science to drug discovery. He is a Royal Society Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge. He is leading the development of Alchemite and of new machine learning products to complement Intellegens’ offering.

Tom has a PhD in theoretical physics from the University of Cambridge, and is now leading the Science Team that supports our customers in applying Intellegens’ novel machine learning approaches to a wide variety of industrial applications. He is also developing a series of application-specific machine learning modules to address high-value data analysis bottlenecks.

Robert leads the development and deployment of the Alchemite Engine platform and holds a PhD in mathematical physics from the University of York. He works with strategic partners, customers and our development and scientific teams to enable our core Alchemite machine learning software to scale and integrate with customer workflows and partner products.

Sue manages all areas of finance and supports business operations at Intellegens. A qualified member of CIMA, she has previously supported two other Cambridge technology companies from start-up, through scale-up, and beyond. Sue is ensuring strong foundations for the Intellegens business as we grow.

Caroline heads the marketing function at Intellegens, ensuring that we communicate well with customers and others who could benefit from our technology. She brings previous experience of R&D-focused software businesses for the life sciences and chemicals sectors, first with Biovia/Dassault Systemes and more recently as Head of Marketing at Dotmatics.
