In any growing organisation, the finance and administrative teams are critical to make sure that everything ticks over efficiently, to support our team, and, most importantly, to ensure a great experience of working with Intellegens for our customers. Nicola is certainly helping us to do all of these things!
1. What is your role at Intellegens?
I joined the team in September 2023 as Finance Assistant to Sue, our Financial Controller. My role is to ensure that a variety of financial tasks and day-to-day transactions get handled efficiently and that our financial processes work well for our suppliers, staff, and customers.
2. What is your favourite thing about working at Intellegens?
The calm and respectful environment with genuinely nice people. The company has a great location and modern facilities (in our new headquarters at Chesterton Mill) and the supportive network allowed me to settle into my role very quickly.
3. What is your career background?
I’ve always worked in finance and administration. I was in the finance sector for over 20 years and I’m a qualified FMAAT member and part-qualified CIMA.
4. What is something that you think makes Intellegens stand out from other companies?
Intellegens is a well-organised company where people work together and share their knowledge. You feel part of a team that’s expanding and building something exciting to benefit others.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
Spending time with my family, theatre, days out and eating in lots of different restaurants. I attend a local outdoor fitness group three times a week and the occasional run on a Sunday morning.
