SDRs are an important group, because they are often the first point of contact with R&D teams interested in our technology. Their job is to understand whether there is a good match between the needs of these teams and the machine learning capabilities of Alchemite™ and to set up a process to explore those needs further if there is. Why not contact us and let us know your R&D data analysis challenges – Joe might be the first person who speaks to you!
1. What is your role at Intellegens?
I’m the first interaction many new customers will have with us at Intellegens. I’m responsible for researching their needs and starting these new relationships, involving the right people from our Science and Commercial Teams. I learn about each customer’s unique requirements and how we might be able to help them achieve their goals.
2. What is your career/educational background?
I studied Graphic Communication & Design at the University of Leeds. My first job after graduating was a sales role, which gave me two years of experience working with customers ranging from material manufacturers for the print industry, to organisations in the food and beverage and the chemicals sector.
3. What is good about working at Intellegens?
As a new member of the team, I’ve had a very positive experience so far. The whole team has made a genuine effort to make me feel welcome. The onboarding process was well organised and made switching industries a much less daunting process. Within my first couple of weeks I was able to provide an input into new processes, with my ideas being listened to and taken onboard.
4. What is something that you think makes Intellegens stand out from other companies?
The main reason I joined Intellegens is that I was convinced that the product offers genuine value to our customers. Since working here, this belief has strengthened, as I’ve been able to see first-hand how machine learning has benefitted companies across a wide range of applications. Seeing how passionate the team is about ensuring our customers receive the best service alongside a valuable product really separates Intellegens from the rest.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
I’m a supporter of Liverpool FC and like to play football with friends as much as possible. Also I’m a keen, but novice, golfer, so most Sundays you’ll find me at Ely City golf course slowly making my way round. Beyond sports, I love spending time with my parents and grandparents, so most evenings I’ll be around one of their houses enjoying a free meal!
