Our Sales Development team is an important group, because it is often the first point of contact with R&D teams interested in our technology. Their job is to understand whether there is a good match between the needs of these teams and the machine learning capabilities of Alchemite™ and to set up a process to explore those needs further if there is. Why not contact us and let us know your R&D data analysis challenges – Stuart might be the first person who speaks to you!
1. What is your role at Intellegens?
I’ve been with Intellegens since early 2023 and I head up the Sales Development operation here. Our role is to follow up when anyone connects with Intellegens, making sure that we understand their R&D application and getting a good process in place to see whether it is something that the Alchemite™ technology can help with. Usually, it is!
2. What is your favourite part about working at Intellegens?
I get the chance to talk to a lot of different research organisations – many of them with intriguing problems to solve. I’ve always been interested in technology and the solutions it can offer, so working at the leading edge in a high-profile area like AI is great, as is working with a team who, as well as being great people, want to solve challenges and help customers be as efficient as possible.
3. What is your career/education background?
I have been working in digital sales since 2011 and tech sales since 2017. Before all that I started as a professional fundraiser, which was like an apprenticeship – worthwhile work, lots of fun, and plenty of hard graft. The experience has helped me to be successful in sales roles since 2007
4. What is something that you think makes Intellegens stand out from other companies?
Definitely having that drive to solve the client’s goals, creativity, and focus. As someone who sees the conversations with customers from the very first tentative enquiry through to a successful implementation, its very motivating to know that the team backing you up has this mindset.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
I love spending time with my brilliant wife and two kids (who are ten and seven). I am a football fanatic. I coach my village under-11 team and have supported the mighty Ipswich since birth. I also love films, of all kinds from noir thrillers to silly kid’s animations
