1. What is your role at Intellegens?
Hi, I’m Ella! I am the User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) designer here at Intellegens. My role involves coordinating user research, collecting insights and translating those findings into design solutions which will help streamline the user experience in Alchemite™ Analytics. Day-to-day I working closely with the Product and Engineering team to create the best experiences for our customers.
2. What is your career/educational background?
I joined Intellegens at the end of 2022 after graduating from Lancaster University with a degree in Design, specialising in Human-Computer-Interactions and design in emerging technologies. During my studies I completed several internships and work experience in both Design and Marketing, whilst working in Customer Services for over 4 years.
3. What is good about working at Intellegens?
At Intellegens, our customers are at the heart of what we do – and that’s a great environment for a UX specialist to work in. I love being able to speak to so many interesting people from different industries and learning about who they are and what they do. A fulfilling part of my role is knowing that the work we do is giving our customers real value.
4. What is something that you think makes Intellegens stand out from other companies?
The accessibility of the software. This is partly due to the intuitive interface. This was already a strength when I joined, but we can always improve, and it’s exciting to work at finding ways to do that. It’s also down to our supportive team and the way they work with customers. I hear this when I speak with our customers. They like it that Alchemite™ Analytics can be used by people who do not know python. It is a no-code solution to ML which I think is a great step towards making AI and ML available.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
Outside of work I enjoy weight training at the gym several times a week. I also try to experiment with food recipes and enjoy cooking unique, healthy dishes.
