1. What is your role at Intellegens?
I have been at Intellegens for four months in my role as a sales and business development manager. My primary role is bringing an innovative machine learning solution, Alchemite™, to the food and beverage, flavour and fragrance, and materials and chemicals industries. I work with research teams in these sectors to understand their requirements, connect them to our scientific team, and specify projects that can support their needs.
2. What is your favourite thing about working at Intellegens?
I love being able to present this exciting new technology to potential customers. The versatility of Alchemite means we can help a wide range of companies to save time and money. Being able to converse with so many different people from different industries and backgrounds is fascinating and allows me to grow my own knowledge as well.
3. What is your career background?
I previously worked for a food ingredients company selling extracts and flavours to some of the world’s biggest food and beverage and flavour and fragrance companies. Before this, I ran my own personal training business, helping clients achieve their fitness goals whilst maintaining a sustainable, healthy lifestyle.
4. What is something that you think makes Intellegens stand out from other companies?
Our versatility in both software and staff is what makes us stand out. Our software can be used by anyone in any field of research and development, and our diverse staff allows us to adapt to any challenges that arise, from predicting sensory properties to optimising polymer formulations.
5. What do you enjoy doing when you are not at work?
My wife Rebecca and I are big foodies so I enjoy eating at lots of different restaurants with her. I am also a very keen, albeit not very good, golfer!
